A TAPOVANI IS PROUD OF HIS SCHOOL FOR FOSTERING THE FOLLOWING MORAL VALUES IN HIM
Respecting the elders, especially one’s parents and teachers, standing up when they enter or leave a room in which he or she happens to be, standing erect when being spoken to by them, helping them when the need arises, never making fun of them.
Being friendly and not quarrelsome with one’s companions. Being honest in one’s dealings with others, truthful in speech, sporting in behaviour.Being clean and tidy: In one’s person, always having one’s shirt buttoned, hair combed and shoes polished, in one’s home, helping the others to clean up and wash up; in school and in the classroom, not throwing paper on the floor or throwing ink here and there.
Saying “Good morning” and “Good evening” at proper times, “Please” and “Thank you” when asking or receiving anything.
“May I come in?” before entering a private room, classroom or office, Never using vulgar speech or obscene language, shouting in the playfield, hooting or booting at a match.
Always being cheerful and smiling and ready to help.

1. INTRODUCTION:
The word ‘TAPOVAN’ or ‘GURUKUL’ evokes memories of ancient times, a time which no more and which needs to be brought back to the present, leading into the future. In ancient days the child was sent to an Ashram of a Guru to learn all the skills which would enable him to negotiate through the labyrinth of life and also acquire knowledge and wisdom so as to find real fulfilment in life. Krishna, Balram and Sudame were shishyas of Guru Sandipani and Dronacharya were mentors to a large number of shishyas. Then came Nalanda and Takshshila, the abode of not only the natives but also of those from the far off lands.
Now is the time to revive those ancient institutions of learning but with a difference Times have changed. Science and Technology have progressed relentlessly and hence the need for an Educational Complex which will affect a synergy of ancient values and modern science and technology. As the famous historian and thinker Will Durant says “The world cannot be saved without wisdom.” We cannot ignore the demands of the age, we cannot turn a blind eye to science and technology, nor can we look at the world with blinkers on. We should aim at moulding minds and shaping careers and also developing into complete human beings. TAPOVAN ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL precisely aims at these objectives.
2. VISION:
To transform the school into a vibrant centre of multifarious activities aiming to ignite minds for unfolding youth potentials.
3. MISSION:
To produce the sensitive, laborious, dynamic, patriotic and spiritual leaders for bringing up perfect global amnity.
4. OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Every child is unique and creative as well. We strive sincerely to kindle in him the flame of knowledge and wisdom. We are reluctant to produce robots but strain every nerve to produce the intellectuals who possess depth of virtues and height of knowledge. This will help to bring up in them the equipoise state of mind. Children are just like seeds in which a small sapling is hidden and that turns into a gigantic tree when properly nourished. We also believe in selfless service, compassion, generosity, tolerance, honesty, non violence and truthfulness. We try our level best to foster moral values in them, so that they can lead a meaningful life of spiritual commitments and ethical perfection. The confluence of patriotism, devotion and cultural values sanctifies the surrounding ambience.
5. ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL:
NEED OF THE HOUR: The present Tapovan Sanskarpith was inspired by the great visionary and seer Param Pujya Shri Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaj Saheb. He is the ancient philosopher incarnate and he wanted to bring back the pristine Gurukul value based system of education. Naturally, he wanted mother tongue to be the medium of instruction as it is educationally and psychologically sound to instruct the child in his or her native tongue. Then why an English Medium School? Eyebrows are likely to be raised, motives may be questioned and doubts begin to nag.As stated in the beginning, we cannot turn a blind eye to the demands of the present day age and we must be open to the influences around the world but without compromising the vision and mission or the core values we intend to impart. Yes, the mother tongue will find an honorable place in the curriculum along with Hindi and Sanskrit. How dare e snap tries with the roots? We do it at our own peril. English today has become a global language, a passport to future opportunities and avenues to higher learning and the demands of the community cannot be ignored for long. If we don’t provide them with the kind of education they need and want, they will turn to other institutions. Then why don’t we train and educate them through a medium which is the need of the hour? And yet inoculate them against evils and vices by inculcating virtues and values desperately need in this emerging society with all its stress and strains. This the rationale for a new English Medium School.
